Dr Miguel Fernandez-Vicente, Senior Research Engineer & Product Development Manager, The Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC)
Dr. Miguel Fernandez-Vicente leads the technical direction and delivery of the MTC involvement in the West Midlands Healthtech Innovation Accelerator, in which the MTC is working with several startups to accelerate their medical device development and manufacturing.
He is the design for X technical strategy lead and product development manager of the design engineering department at the MTC. He has 15+ years of broad consultancy experience in product design and rapid prototyping, from the concept creation to manufacture. With a PhD in design knowledge transfer in novel manufacturing methods, he is an expert in design innovation, knowledge transfer and prototyping.
