Danielle de Villiers is a chartered engineer with 15 years' experience in medical device research and development. She holds both a first-class MEng and PhD in Medical Engineering from Queen Mary University of London and has worked across both academia and industry within the orthopaedic field.
Currently Hip Manager (R&D) at MatOrtho Ltd, Danielle is responsible for all areas of product development and technical expertise relating to the company's hip replacement portfolio.
Additionally, Danielle is passionate about medical device development and encouraging future engineers by delivering lectures on implant technology and sitting on Industrial Advisory Boards for several universities.
