Safah Shaikh is a Biomedical R&D Engineer specialising in medical device development, AI integration, and computational modelling. With an MSc in Mechanical Engineering and an ongoing MSc in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Safah brings extensive experience in leading the development of implants and surgical devices, and collaborating with clinicians to advance healthcare solutions.
Passionate about machine learning in healthcare, Safah aims to integrate AI and automation into next-generation medical technologies for improved patient outcomes, and serves as an Industry Advisory Board Member at Aston University, supporting academia-industry partnerships in med-tech. Safah is an advocate for women in STEM, and is committed to mentorship, diversity, and empowering future female engineers to drive innovation in medical technology.
