NEW EVENT ANNOUNCED FOR MARCH 2022 - MEDICAL TECHNOLGY UK
NEW EVENT ANNOUNCED FOR MARCH 2022 - MEDICAL TECHNOLGY UK

A brand-new event, Medical Technology UK will take place at the Ricoh Arena on 16-17 March 2022.
Medical Technology UK will be unique in that it will focus solely on the needs of the UK medical device manufacturing community.

The March 2022 event is the brainchild of Colin Martin and Jason Moss, co-founders of MedTech Media Ltd, which was created during the global pandemic of 2020/2021. Both Jason and Colin have many years of experience in running successful events in the medical technology sector in Europe, Asia and North and South America. Helen Lawrence also joins the team and brings her many years of marketing expertise in the sector, to the new venture.

The new UK event will be the sister show to the highly regarded and respected Medical Technology Ireland, now in its fourth extremely successful year.

Medical Technology UK will comprise an exhibition that will be stacked with leading specialists from all tiers of the medical device manufacturing supply chain. There will also be various learning programmes for medical device manufacturers. In addition, the increasingly popular Women in MedTech Forum (so successful in Ireland) will make its debut in the UK.

Colin Martin (above), co-founder and Director of Medtech Media Ltd, the orgainsers of the new event, explains that "creating a new company and launching it during an unprecedented global pandemic was not for the faint hearted. However, we did our due diligence in researching the market and found tremendous support for the model we proposed."

Jason Moss (right) adds that "the success of the sister show in Galway (Medical Technology Ireland) - particularly in terms of its format, standardised booth size and content delivery - was something that we felt would translate very well to the UK market, especially post-Brexit."

The March 2022 event is already over half-way sold: Colin Martin notes that "Jason and I are very pleased with our reception in the medical device marketplace. To date a total of 70 of the 131 booths are now already contracted. The event uptake exceeded our expectations thus far and clearly demonstrates the demand for a highly focussed show of this kind."

Going forward, Medical Technology UK 2022 will be supported by its own website and social media channels:

NEW EVENT ANNOUNCED FOR MARCH 2022 - MEDICAL TECHNOLGY UK

The March 2022 venue, Ricoh Arena, offers fantastic facilities with on-site hotel accommodation, bars and dining and the organisers will be providing fully paid-for parking to all exhibitors and visitors.

The ever changing Covid 19 landscape has meant that the organisers will be partnering the venture with Moore Medtech Ltd: Colin Martin explains that 'we can respond quickly and decisively if we need to employ methods to ensure the safety of all stakeholders in a successful event. Measures in place include pre-testing of all visitors, exhibitors and contractors as well as the use of FAR UV lighting and Anti Viral "fogging" in order to keep common areas safe.

The new event is being launched with support from some key industry partners.
Medical Engineers is the UK's leading specialist medical engineering placement and recruitment agency covering the key areas of manufacturing design and R&D, as well as regulatory, quality and executive management.

The GTMA is a UK based trade association that has been providing engineering supply chain solutions for many years in the UK but increasingly so now in the medical device and wider healthcare manufacturing sectors. Their associated Reshoring UK initiative is also helping to bring more medical device manufacturing back to the UK.

Martin said, "it is critical to have strong, strategic partnerships in place and we are delighted to have that with Medical Engineers and the GTMA. We are all working in the same arena where medical device manufacturers and their suppliers need one another. They are a perfect fit and together we will deliver a dynamic, stimulating environment where business will be done"
