At the recent ALBIS Healthcare Lounge 2021 virtual event, Stephen Duckworth of Adspectus gave a fascinating and insightful presentation on the topic of sustainability, when it comes to the use of plastics in the medical device and wider healtcare industries.
It exposes a whole new set of challenges and considerations for design engineers but this presentation (see opposite) provides a lot of practical advice and direction on ways in which they can be addressed.
